So this will be one of my digital sketchbooks (as well as non-digital when I can be bothered).
What you can expect to see in here is a lot of experimentation and horrible mistakes as I am still very much a beginner, but if you can get past that I'd be happy to explain what I am up to!
I mainly do pencil/pen, watercolor and digital art work at the moment. That's probably what's going to make up the bulk of this sketch book as it ages unless I discover some other new medium that drives me mad with love.
As I don't want to start making a backlog of all my old stuff, I'll just leave you with a digital piece I am working on at the moment.

Heyo,
Been doing a bunch of pen sketching exercises lately to work on my perception and execution of form. Today I then wanted to do a creature design to see if I had learned anything, ended up looking like a beetle so that's the direction I went with it:
Hey look, another update!
Matt and I decided to do a creature study last night, we ended up doing a scorpion. Was good fun!
Here's some more stuff I've been working on!
Skull study:
Final submission for my CD Cover Community Challenge:
Post-submission revisions based on Dean's feedback:
That's it for now. With the community challenge done, I will now be doing a bunch of anatomy studies over the next few weeks. I will mainly be doing this in pencil and liner but may do some stuff digitally too.
Till next time.!
Let's see if posting pics from my phone works.
These are some sketches I have started about a week ago. The plan is to do one sketch a day, and to have a different subject matter each week. For the first six days I do photo studies of the subject and on the seventh day I do an imaginary subject.
Below are my sketches from week one:
Beetle/insect from imagination
Next week's topic is "Plants"!
That's a sweet plan, and way to go with those sketches, keep it up!
Hey again,
Been a while without updates and here's why: I don't have the time.
At the end of the day I have about 4-5 hours available to me and during that time I mainly try to rest getting home from work and focus on practising my art. Updating DA, CD Sketchbook and my blog is way too time consuming so for now I have decided to just focus on my blog which you can find at
mathjorgensen.shadytm.com if you're interested.
When I find my time or energy in my life I will gladly resume posting several places at once but at the moment I simply can't find the time to.
I still visit many of the CD sketchbooks though and will still be around!
