Study 649/1000 #1kchallenge
(actually counting sketches i'm at like 750, I'll try to post a bunch tomorrow.)

A quick illustration I did this week for next weeks materials class. Need to tweak further but yeah. Isolated a few areas out, for the students to paint in and figure out. Goal is to have an image that is full and coherent with the right materials.

If you are learning art yourself, you can join :D I will post the full illustration next week so the students can't "cheat" too much, heh.

The sphere is a black polished sphere, like a pool ball or the Palantir from lord of the rings.
The vial is glass, half filled with a mid-tone liquid. The rest is mid-tone cloth, (darkish) wood for the interior of the shield and leather on the book/shoe.

The lighting and form looks good, link's face looks very off though to me though, he looks robotic or like he's smiling like a damn serial killer...which given how most people play Botw is probably not far off actually XD.
