Hello ladies and gentleman, welcome to my sketchbook!
So here are some pictures I did in the last few weeks (click for full-size):

Great start, man! Keep going!
As a small tip for starting out: Try to study some form.
Why does that sphere you see look 3D, why is it not just a circle? That's form. Try to experiment with contrast, rendering, values, and all that. Maybe do some fundamental studies, because they help you out big time, no matter at what level you are!
Stay strong!
Yep, think about the general form. For example, the second one, instead of shading every little part of the armour the same way, think about the biggest form it is enveloping, some parts won't be reached at all by the light source.
The last one is looking a lot better though, keep it up!
Thank you both, for the comments and help. These are literally one of the first paintings I did. (The glass one my first study; the female warrior piece my second character design; the environment my first colored environment).
I actually planned to work on more fundamentals this week, but got sick so I only managed to do some quick sketches and the undead pirate one. :(
This is some older stuff.
and a quick scene sketch:
Movie screen study: Hara-Kiri - Death of a Samurai
In the mood of undead-ish creatures, apparently.
Exams everywhere. Probably least productive month (in terms of just painting stuff) since I started to draw/paint.
