character sketch i did the other night, inspired by LMS.

can anybody help me with her face?it just seems off... its not fully rendered but i feel like the is an anatomical problem. thanks ^_^;

here is the updated version of the girl im currently working on.
i will be trying to do a bunch of studies this week of portraits and such.
self portrait done from a photo then added the extra bit on top :P
did some pitcher anatomy sketches from reference.
thsi one from memory, was supposed to be a man-rabbit throwing an easter egg :P
also so other anatomy sketches from an ipad app
keep up the good work man! you are at the right pace of learning. have you heard about betty edwards drawing from the right side of the brain? i recommend that to everyone who finds drawing portraits realistically challenging. she also has a video on youtube that supplements the book just search for betty edwards right side of the brain.
what i can suggest for you to do is to also search for loomis construction method for head drawing also proko. after that copy from the masters (sargent , craig mullins etc.)
other than that just keep going dont ever stop . trust me.

Thanks a lot for for the advice! i will look into the book and Betty Edwards. right now im reading the Hogarth dynamic anatomy book.
here is a 1hr 15ish min speedpaint (supposed to be 50 min but i lost track of time)
trying to level up my landscape skills. here are a couple of studies i did, each about 1 hour.

colors are a bit off as are some other things but l'm happy with how it came out.
