hey men, you should actualy try to be more focused on your drawing and values skills ! it seems like you're focused on colors and forgetting the rest ( especially for the hand !! )
hey kikindaface, In some studies it might seem that way because I try to be focusing on very specific things. If I want to focus on the values then I will do it in B&W. Of course in some cases like the muscle study a couple posts back I was focusing on values and also anatomy but other then that most things aren't on my mind. That way when I apply that study right after I'm done I don't worry about some of the things that I feel more comfortable with already like colors. The hand study for instance was meant to just be a hand model, I didn't care so much about the values and getting them exact because the values in the illustration I applied the hand to was completely different. I do agree with you though that I need to improve my values and line drawing, but I thought I'd explain my study method :)

heeeeeeeeeeeeere's some art :D

Nice studies! Love the faces ^^
Really love the writing on the faces, I have to try that too! ( I try to memorise everything without writing it down). Thanks! Also keep up the good work!
Your studying method seems pretty spot on and pretty mature dude. Having the bollocks to post your stuff without giving a shit what people think or expect is harder than it sounds. Thats partly why ive stopped posting alot of my studies, because i found that in the back of my mind, i was holding some sort of expectation to what people will think of it instead of trying to learn from it.

On the other hand i recon your face construction could use abit more work. The proportions and perspective seem abit wonky, especially around the eyes and forehead area.

Part from that i can't fault your progress, you've grown so much in the time ive been following you. Stay strong bro, i love seeing your new stuff.
SpectreX Thank you :)

DmSinkevic You should it's really nice :D

Warburton Thanks man it's been working well so far I think so I'm not gonna stop anytime soon. I'll keep in mind that mention of face construction, maybe I'll have to take a step back and do some studies.

Yay for a painting my girlfriend, finishing those faces up, doodling a guy with the middle finger on his head, and doing a couple rough studies for client work :D

Looking good! People already told you about the faces and you're working on that, so I can't comment there. The only thing I can say ( and that is because I like it, it's not something you should DEFINITELY do ) is that you should introduce some more contrast and sharpness in your pieces. With a few more steps they would a much greater impact.

Here's an example :

Keep at it, man, You're doing great! :)

P.S. I love how you used the chain brush for the zipper of the jacket! :D
man! kicking some ass!
definitely improving!
i would just watch out for the back lighting/rim light. sometimes i feel like you use it way too often

:D cheers!
A lot of good stuff here and I like how you've kept such a dedicated schedule. I'll have to check out your livestream sometime. Keep it up!
Othrandir Thanks man, I totally agree with you, usually it jsut takes some testing out with layers and experimenting before I get to a stage with good contrast. I could've also checked on my values more but eh, it was a learning experience.

Aragah You... are correct.

MrFrenik ha, thanks :) hope to see you on my stream sometime

Top two studies are for a client piece I'm working on, this one isn't hushity hush hush so I can show it when I'm done which should be in a few days :) Bottom two studies are for Suzanne Helmigh's portrait class

I think it turned out really well. The composition is dynamic and interesting and the colors and lighting information hold up really well. The only thing I'd say is to push your values from front to back even further to get a greater spacial separation. Other than that, great work.
Thanks for the crit MrFrenik :)

Self portrait which I think I fucked up on and some figures. I'm so ridiculously tired right now because of the massive jet lag from my flight back from Israel so I won't type much. All I'll say for now is I had fun and I will try to have more art to show tomorrow... -.- sleeeeeeeeeep...
