I'm not sure if I've commented on your sketchbook before, but I've definitely gone through it on several occasions. I am in total agreement with everyone, the portraits are outstanding! I want to see more! They're very well done. It's a good kick in the butt for me.
Thanks a lot Zesiul!
Wanted to do another portrait today, but there wasn't enough time. So I got my trusty reference folder out and did a few plane studies instead;
And the guy in the foreground is like: "Hang on, gotta check facebook one last time..."
Finally got the book of books:
Yay!
Already started refereshing my perspective constructions;
Wow, awesome stuff in here, and such a cool mix. Portraits, environments, and now this scott robertson inspired stuff (is the book as awesome as I'm imagining?). Love it! :)
No real crits. I think the colours look fantastic in the portraits, and if you could bring the colours in your enviros/vehicles to the same level, they'd be crazy good. Bit more reference, just at the end maybe? Such a small thing though. Keep doing what you're doing. :) Looking forward to more :D
Thanks a lot Jake! Yeah, I find it a lor harder to get that "magic light" feeling in landscapes for some reason :/
Fuck. This is what I call an awesome sketchbook. Love those portraits and studies from sccott robertson book <3 Gonna buy it myself soon and studie the shit out of it xD. Best wishes mate. Keep it up!
Yep, I second what Ramalooke said. Looks like a ton of awesomeness..
Thanks so much =)
A bit of traditional media:
