Sweet stuff mate! :)
I would maybe try to do some really basic gestures, no muscles or such stuff, just the very basic geometric forms. This helped me alot when it comes to constructing those from imagination.
Nothing wrong with your attempt of doing gestures of course, just a different approach. Keep it up!
