couple sketches
one more little sketch... actually need advice about how to paint hairs, that stuff gets me frustrated
Hi there! you are well on your way with your character sketches. well done! i think hair is what people struggle with most, cause most of us want to paint it strand by strand, but the quickest way to get good looking hair ( Imo ) is to divide it in more larger chunks instead of strands. for example : first you start by coloring it all in, and then you start with shading 1 half in light and the other in darker tones. Then you divide it in half again and start adding more details all around. Last step would be to draw loose strands here and there. Also you can play around with a speckled smudge brush. I use that all the time and hair takes me around 5 min to paint now haha!
 a bit of shitty stuff

P.S. how to place a couple of images in a row ? That looking just terrible...
love your stuff man , very clean.
Some constructive study

Nice construction on the faces! I notice lately a lot of your female characters default to a similar mouth shape, maybe because you're more focused on learning an unfamiliar tool?

Nah, this is just one of my problems... I should do more expressions study =)
No worries--all my characters look like siblings. I can't escape it!
After another huge break, decided to do some study.
How do you, guys, study values?
