you dont have to nail a line the first time, try using soft low opacity lines then add confident line weight once youve decided exactly where they're gonna be, and vary it!

have you tried the kind of Peter Han exercises where you draw 8 circles on top of eachother and one line on top of the same line over and over and so forth?

haha these are rough! Love it! the biggest part is seeing the problem with the scratchiness; its a frustrating one to shake, but you can do it! your construction drawings are developing well, they'll be even better with the exercises ingrained properly. Also i'd reccomend practicing to some artists with good line weight, namely, highly skilled anime/comic/inking artists/pencillers you already love :)
From what i see you suffer from speedy line.What i recommend is to use the palm of your hand as a speed detector.It will take practice but eventually if you draw enought you will be able to detect how fast you are moving your hand as it drag on a surface.
What is important is you understand the concept of lock wrist and drawing form the eldow.
Try both of those holding style and compare result.One trick is to make sure that you can see the line you making.What i mean by that is never work the pencil at angle where your finger hide the tips of the pencil from the eye.One of the most secret technique is to ... turn the paper so that you find the most natural position to draw from i personnaly think it easier to draw a diagonal than a straight line.Why turn the paper you ask well simply to transform that diagonal into a straight line.You are technically drawing a diagonal but the paper is not facing your body in the direction of the elbow.
Love your anatomy sketches. They are so beautiful and clean tho :D I've seen people doing many studies of athlete people and drawing muscles over images just like you did. Was it helpful for you?
@Fed – LOL indeed bro! Ahhhh! You know, it turns out I’ve been drawing with 80% minimum diameter on my brush… I wonder if that makes it any better now. Only time will tell. Hell yeah, I’m gunna try every which way until something sticks in my braaain. ?

@darktiste- man, thanks so much for the lovely tips on line control bro! I really do appreciate it. I’ve been trying to implement the approaches today, seems like habits are pretty hard to break. I’ll keep working on it. Also, I work on digital, so I can rotate the canvas, but it feels weird to me at the moment.
 
@toxicpanda- AHHH, thanks so much, you flatter me! <3 I really do like to do anatomy tracings to troubleshoot my understanding of the insertions and origins of muscles. It does seem super helpful so far, but then again I can’t really tell how I myself am coming along. @_@ It’s hard when you’re in your own head ahaha.

I deem the rest of the month to be an extensive anatomy month while I wait for a friend. I should be following a schedule they’ve set for next month onwards as well, so I think anatomy will leak into next month.

Today’s batch: delt revisit, pec revisit, and abs.

ab studies. top - goldfield, middle - images used for application + form breakdown, bottom -bammes and more application. ab forms are still not too accurate imo.

I wanted to keep going, but i can't keep my eyes open. way too beat. x-x
line weight is on point for the bottom left one, remember not every line is thicc!

I think it more about line control than line weight here.You don't need complex drawing to practice line weight you can use simple geometric to learn it.It the same for line control you only need to practice straight line and other type of line.
thanks guys! i've been doing some of peter han's stuff now. I think I'll do more traditional drawing when I study anatomy.  We'll have to see what I find most comfortable.
these are starting to look interesting, for that torso in the middle, the nipple doesnt jump all the way up when the arm is raised, it stays more or less in the same place ;)
