--Hurray for CC! On the same note, good luck with whatever is keeping you guys busy!
04 May 22:45
--Yeah, find it especially difficult when I'm tired. But need to keep trying to make drawing a habbit; all is it just doodling and not even studying
04 May 22:35
--unfortunatelly all 3 of us - me, Amit and our next judge got extremely busy at the same time :P
04 May 22:34
--sorry guys for the delay, the CC3 announcement will be either tonight or tomorrow
04 May 22:23
--Yep :D! it really sucks when you first start doing it, but you will get used to it.
04 May 22:16
--That sounds about right. Quit and don't start again until you have done what you planned/should
04 May 22:11
--Focus and beating procrastination are hard things to beat, but i think it's about developing good habits. For example, if you are playing a game, or watching a show, If you say to yourself "one more go then i'm done". That is your sign to stop doing it instantly.
04 May 21:53
--its easier to focus if you can appreciate you're learning something, kind alike when you were a kid and you're staring at something for minutes that feel like hours.
04 May 21:51
--Yeah, as long as I have deadline it goes fine. But when I don't, I can't stay focussed x-x
04 May 20:19
--Well, assuming you want to get into industry, if you're feeling that you are slowly getting more and more jobs, you've they feeling that it will get better. The problem is when you're in that position that your art is improving , but don't get jobs even if you're trying. Then I think the 'wrong' thing is going forward. It's a combination of stuff I guess and you can't influence everything
04 May 20:09
--I'm kinda scared thinking of that notion of as long as I *feel* I'm working towards a goal that everything is going to be alright because for all we know I might be that guy from Memento! Always looking at that end goal thinking I'm progressing every time, when in fact I'm like a dog chasing it's own tail.
04 May 19:51
--If you don't have goal, don't do a thing you get depressed. ANd if you want too much, or dn't know how to get there you burn out or get depressed as well. It's a big balancing game
04 May 19:51
--I think as long as you feel that you are going towards your goal and are oke with all the other stuff going on in yourl ife, I think it is fine. And once you erach that goal, you achieved something, are content for a while, get a new goal. And that can be in art or in a different aspect of your life. As long as you know where you want to go and know how to combine it
04 May 19:41
--True. I felt the same way while I was reading his blog entry. It's more idealistic than pragmatic, (not saying that it isn't). At some points I couldn't relate because he's already at a high point of his career.
04 May 19:36
--And I think that for all artists it is important to have personal projects, even if you work already in industry. Because there you can work the way you love and create what you want to create.
04 May 19:29
--I think for a lot of ppl the first goal is to get in the industry, partly because they can do art as a living then instead of some other job. But it still might not be what you really really want, but I guess you discover that along the way
04 May 19:28
--I agree :P. I do think sometimes you have to compromise, since we all need money you can't always do what you would love. And what you would love to do changes over time as well
