Oh man this is so cool, I'm loving the thought process and the details you put into your work! I loved that goblin bandit.

Keep it up!

Thanks a lot:) I'm glad you're enjoying my work! Sadly I will not be posting a lot of process sheets anymore, but more complete work.

All the best!

Here is a mech I designed for a personal project. It is inspired by celestial beings who entered our dimension, and used to battle them.

Concept of a fantasy tavern/dock that is built on a giant fish skeleton:)

RE: Crowther's Sketchbook - crowtherlindeque - 06-23-2015

A female military-type character in a sci-fi setting. I went for something in the spirit of the "Starship Troopers" and "Alien" franchises.

Here's an illustrative piece of a dwarven character of mine, busy displaying typical dwarven behaviour:D

I love dragons, so I had to do one for my portfolio. Here he is, Daurglyrr, one of the Ancient Cold Ones.

Good attention to detail, really digging the tavern.

So here's a tank i finished recently. It's a concept for a near-future unmanned MBT:

RE: Crowther's Sketchbook - crowtherlindeque - 07-13-2015

Hey guys:) Here's a concept of an alien creature as part of a personal IP. I wanted to give the creature some human, spider and fly elements.

Rootwarks are forest spirits, abiding in the roots that cover the forest floor, and often referred to as the "Dark Protectors of the Woods".

The hunter rootwark is fast, agile and a ruthless killer, often sneaking up behind unsuspecting victims or dropping down from the trees.

Rootwarks are forest spirits, abiding in the roots that cover the forest floor, and often referred to as the "Dark Protectors of the Woods".

The defender rootwark is solid and tough; able to take a lot of punishment, as well as dish it out. Although surprisingly fast for their size, it is their resilience that makes them terrifying opponents.

Wow, I like your presentation and creativity!

It's very feng zhu-esque. It's refreshing to see concepts laid out like that. But maybe thing I find the most appealing are your paint-bucket-solid-color thumbnail variants. They are clean, versions are different enough and they are informative. And I assume, they were quick to do. They remind me of a monster hunter character concepts, if you happen to know how they look.

RE: Crowther's Sketchbook - crowtherlindeque - 07-17-2015

Hey! Thanks so much for the comment:) Hahaha, yeah those flat concepts are my favorite too, sadly I'm doing portfolio work now, so I don't do those atm. But for me personally it is the fastest and most fun way to conceptualise:)

RE: Crowther's Sketchbook - crowtherlindeque - 07-19-2015

The whisperer rootwark uses the elements of the forest to its advantage.  Whether casting spells of wind, sweeping up a storm of leaves, or using animals/critters to disorient and attack its foes.

RE: Crowther's Sketchbook - crowtherlindeque - 07-22-2015

Hey guys! Here's a concept for a middle-aged, veteran demon hunter - who might have a drinking problem... Part of a personal IP:)

RE: Crowther's Sketchbook - crowtherlindeque - 07-25-2015

Another new concept:) This time a post-apocalyptic robotic character!

I wanted to create a companion/worker robot character that could feature in a post-apocalyptic world. He had to appear to be built from scratch and pieces of rubbish. I love old lcd screens, and thought a pixelated, Tamagotchi-like face would fit him well:)

RE: Crowther's Sketchbook - crowtherlindeque - 07-28-2015

Hey all:) Here is another of my concepts - I wanted to try a less realistic, but still believable approach to a fantasy knight. He is inspired by woodcutters of old. Those who lived in the forest, taking only what they needed, and in turn protecting it from outside threats.
