RE: Asa's Sketchbook - Crits Welcome! - Arapersonica - 05-28-2016 Some progress on my animation: Also some pretty quick mood illustrations: And then a Q&A comic~ RE: Asa's Sketchbook - Crits Welcome! - Arapersonica - 05-28-2016 Oh, almost forgot my CC3 piece. I really struggled with this one, but thanks to all the wonderful amazing people here, i didn't give up :) Thank you everyone who helped me with this. I'm really grateful you pushed me to keep going! RE: Asa's Sketchbook - Crits Welcome! - Arapersonica - 07-16-2016 Haven't posted to this in a while, but I have a few things to share! Been sketching away, but here are some of the highlights: RE: Asa's Sketchbook - Crits Welcome! - Artloader - 07-17-2016 Wow! Your animations are awesome Arapersonica! I also love the lighting you've put into a couple of the pieces in post #21. Keep going - looking good! RE: Asa's Sketchbook - Crits Welcome! - DQ_Nick - 07-18-2016 Wow this is a cool sketchbook. You're building a world and developing your own taste alongside your technical skills, which is something so important for a growing artist to do. A lot of us on here, including myself, tend to neglect storytelling, shape design, expressive poses, and strong color choices; the things that actually give artwork its personality. Not an issue for you. Btw I like the Mononoke stuff RE: Asa's Sketchbook - Crits Welcome! - Arapersonica - 09-09-2016 @ Artloader: Aww, thank you so much! :D I'm working on creating mood! I really love the works of this guy, and I was trying to play with his style: http://commissionsbyj.tumblr.com/ @ DQ_Nick: Wow, such... such kind words!! Thank you so very much! I primarily love story and character, perhaps more even than visual easthetic, which I think may be a weakness in my work... but! There's always room for growing! :D Thank you so very much! -------------------------------------------------- Whew, it's been a little while! I think I last posted in July? Now it's September... but I haven't been idle! I've been working on my webcomic, which is why I've been so quiet. I also had a rough work week thrown in there which killed me for a bit... but anyway! I finished inking chapter 1 of the comic. Now I'm on to coloring it! I also started posting an old comic I made like 7 years ago to Tapastic. Here is the cover for that old thing: If you're interested in reading, I'm posting it here. It updates every Friday!: https://tapastic.com/episode/434432 Aaand I finished a compilation of my animation since February!! :D I reached my animation goal in August, yaaay! I hope everyone is doing awesome here! :) How is everyone? RE: Asa's Sketchbook - Crits Welcome! - neopatogen - 09-09-2016 You're awesome! Read your comic, looking forward to see more! Omg 7 years ago, why didn't you post it earlier? :) I personally prefer black and white comics in general, maybe because the brain can imagine more on its own this way. But it's just me! If you enjoy coloring then absolutely do it :) RE: Asa's Sketchbook - Crits Welcome! - Arapersonica - 09-16-2016 (09-09-2016, 01:48 AM)neopatogen Wrote: You're awesome! It just didn't really stick in my brain why I should post XD! I enjoy both, though color just drags me in more... I'm kinda also making this a practice endeavor, so I'm looking forward to getting better at drawing things! Hopefully ------------------------------ I finished a two week MAP animation last night :D Yaaay so glad to have this done... all the other people's parts look so freaking sweet too, man... It's so much fun collaborating on things :D RE: Asa's Sketchbook - Crits Welcome! - Amit Dutta - 09-16-2016 You are awesome. I know, horrible useless comment. That's all I got :) RE: Asa's Sketchbook - Crits Welcome! - Arapersonica - 11-16-2016 (09-16-2016, 09:01 AM)Amit Dutta Wrote: You are awesome. I know, horrible useless comment. The main reason for that is, since August, I've been working on a major webcomic project! A sort of dream project, if you will... I'm hoping to have 3 chapters ready to post online by February of next year, and I'm only two (and a half) pages away from finishing two chapters! Here is what all my work for the last three months looks like! They are little because they aren't released yet but... all my comic pagesss! I'm trying to figure out a website for it at the moment (php is hard ;-; and apparently my hosting service is #1 in the suck department) but once I do, it will be up for people to enjoy! I'm going to cross-post it on other webcomic sites too since that's where people go for comics and not my no name website. Yet. Bwahahahaha! It's nice to be back! :D |
