I get the same problem dude. I try and work with a timer on, so I don't get lost in pointless detail. I think doing more master studies is going to help with that too, it's really showing me what clean efficient mark making is about.

You've got some great use of Tone in your studies. Most people resort to using almost complete black and lose so much in their images.
