RE: Fedodika the Koala - pnate - 06-11-2014 Yep, more drawing will pump up your art muscles very much. Keep going at it! And been noticing that your skin tones tend to go in the greenish/desaturated spectrum a lot. Maybe keep an eye out for that, or try a really warm/saturated underpainting then paint on top of it to retain that saturation perhaps. More more more go go gooooooooo RE: Fedodika the Koala - Fedodika - 06-12-2014 Thx pnate, good eye, i will try that out in my next pieces :) Here's the wip, sloppy life painting and uhhh a thing i did real quick for the suicide girls contest Not much painting today cuz drawing in SB IS FUN! RE: Fedodika the Koala - clockodile - 06-13-2014 Good effort on these studies. The still life you did especially shows improvement with how you are picking up on things like bounce light. One quick thing, watch out for the proportions on the master study - her body looks ok, but her head is much bigger than the original (and the tilt isn't deep enough). It might help look at the negative space her head forms with the edge of the canvas as well as relative to her body to keep on top of it. RE: Fedodika the Koala - Fedodika - 06-13-2014 Clockodile: thanks bud i tried to fix some of those things... i give up lol u win again bougey! Also doin these concepts gonna try and do 2 a day just to force myself to be more creative and push design skills etc. RE: Fedodika the Koala - Fedodika - 06-14-2014 Here's some stuff; gonna work on this skull more tomorrow, Suz wants me to try and take a little box of something and make it have that photographic look since she thinks i'm ready to try it.. I hope i can actually do it, she just says it takes alot of time to get that look and i'm kinda seeing what she means the more i fidget with this piece.. Also workin on a portrait for a friend of my dads, it's coming along okay, i'll post it when i get more progress in it RE: Fedodika the Koala - Cricketts - 06-14-2014 Really diggin all the study's great work. RE: Fedodika the Koala - milkdose - 06-15-2014 Yeaaaah fedo CD sketchbook acquired! RE: Fedodika the Koala - Nowio - 06-15-2014 Nice sketchbook, I really dig the studies! ;) RE: Fedodika the Koala - Fedodika - 06-15-2014 Crick: thx man! Nowio: thanks! Danny Gotta try something simpler for the still life, the portrait is WIP RE: Fedodika the Koala - Fedodika - 06-16-2014 I love serge birault, i mean this http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7Li6FD8ESmA/UD9zqM_iG3I/AAAAAAAABTI/I77PXR1Vg9E/s1600/ana6.jpg and this http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MPFa1IgFWi8/UD9v49eR_rI/AAAAAAAABS0/ScQzvpE8ySg/s1600/screeneyes.jpg Been learning So fuckin good... So i'm gonna try to do another piece for the SG contest since my last one isn't great I only spent an hr on it. Gonna put a few days on this one and try to knock out my photorealism assignment :O while im at it, no concpets today lol no energy for it, and i'll be away tom <3 Beware of corel painter, 80% of the brushes are gimmicky bs and only a few of them are good :) RE: Fedodika the Koala - milkdose - 06-16-2014 Awesome! RE: Fedodika the Koala - Fedodika - 06-18-2014 danny WHERE DEM POSTS BAYBAY?????? RE: Fedodika the Koala - Nowio - 06-19-2014 Hey nice update, keep dem studies coming! :D I think it would be more helpfull to stay a bit longer on these lifestudies. The shadows look guessed and the values still look kinda flat. So maybe spend a couple more hours on one study ;) Painter... yeah tried it once, ONCE! Don't know why but I didn't like it. The brushes and all the settings were kinda uncomfortable so I just never touched it again. A friend told me that you should customise your pressure settings to optimize your experience and make the brushes work like they were meant to work but I never got to do this xD Stay positive, just like your leg bot!!! RE: Fedodika the Koala - Fedodika - 06-19-2014 Nowio: thanks bud, was thinkin the same thing most of these were quick and fun; i'm done with the more rendered piece, hate lookin at it ;p RE: Fedodika the Koala - clockodile - 06-21-2014 Great effort on all these studies! It is good to see you mixing it up with the materials you are painting. Like Nowio said, it could be worth your time spending longer on a few studies - perhaps one way would be slowing down at the beginning to measure out landmarks/contours relative to verticals/horizontals. Keep up the good work! RE: Fedodika the Koala - Fedodika - 06-22-2014 Clock: thanks bud, i'm definately spending more on the drawings lately I'm back! still trying! RE: Fedodika the Koala - smrr - 06-22-2014 Dat colour though... Keeeeep at it bebz Frickin driving me nuts with all this woorrrk RE: Fedodika the Koala - Fedodika - 06-23-2014 SMRFETTE WHERE ARE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! RE: Fedodika the Koala - StardustLarva - 06-23-2014 I'm liking your use of soft colours in those. Don't know if it was intentional, but the pose of the human character in the third one looks pretty stiff to me. RE: Fedodika the Koala - Fedodika - 06-25-2014 stardustdragon: Thanks bud, you're damn right! Big ole dump o stuff before i go watch mr nobody for the 15th time lol |
