RE: Nika's Sketchbook - Nika - 06-05-2014 Crackedskull thanks for stopping by man, I'm in love with some of your work. Thanks :) Here's a new W.I.P, it ain't looking as hot as the last one yet but i wanted to portray a softer mysterious look for this girl. RE: Nika's Sketchbook - Nika - 06-12-2014 RE: Nika's Sketchbook - Nika - 08-21-2014 Hey! I'll update with sketches again soon, for now... RE: Nika's Sketchbook - Nika - 09-18-2014 More environment wips … RE: Nika's Sketchbook - Lyraina - 09-25-2014 Man, those environments are improving leaps and bounds. Those last two are reaaaally nice. Love all the little lights! Regarding the portrait, maybe try to be a bit more careful with your use of blacks - black means there's no light at all reaching some point, which is almost never the case. Also, always think of planes before starting to render - breaking down the face in simple shapes, and think about your light source. Right now, you have some light coming from the front/top on the face, but the shouldders look like they are lit from behind. Really good to see you put out work on such a consistent basis though. That's the key to success. So keep it up! :) |
