@Tien: Thank you <3 It was very good - but very intense. With 2 classes per week you need to have time to pump out a lot of homework. Go for it, but remember to have free time to really commit!

So!
A bit more than one year ago I tried to do a study of this particular reference: http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131130190646/marvelmovies/images/d/d7/Malekith_TTDW.jpg
And to put it shortly, it sucked hairry balls. It was one of the worst studies I had pushed out in a long time :p I posted it anyway because that is the agreement, no hiding.
So today I'm feeling good I managed to nail down this fucker, and even as it still counts as a study (it is slightly under 3h), it feels better to me as a painting too.
The goal today was to do a deliberately slow study, every brush stroke counted, so I had less rendering in the end.
I hope I did not over-render anything.

Really, early nice SB. I read that you say you have limited time to practice... I can sympathize with that. While some people can paint 8-16 hours a day I am lucky if I can paint 10 hours a week, I've had to come to terms with that and make the most out of every painting I do... which means I don't do studies anymore:) Anyways, really nice improvement and there is a lot of variety here. Looking forward to seeing more.
