RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 11-12-2014 And moore skulls.. RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 11-13-2014 Ongoing painting.. :) RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 12-05-2014 Oops! Seems like I never posted the final painting... aand today's anatomy studies RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 12-12-2014 Been working on this since yesterday. I think the main values are down, after this I'll go into colors before I dive too far into black and white and loose the essence of it. Any suggestions (to make it a bit more "disturbing") are welcome. :) Like the "20% OFF" sign in the background.. It needs to be turned into some neon lights or whatever.. any ideas for that as well? Thanks! :) RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - Adam Lina - 12-13-2014 Maybe add a neon light emitting from the genitals? XD The holes or dots on her body look like they need to be pushed back into perspective with the way her body is leaning back. Also if you want to make it clear that shes a robot and not just a lady with lines painted on her, make some cut aways on the panels or gaps in where her limbs connect. Like where her thighs meet the pelvis you could show a gap in the paneling with a hint of moving parts underneath. RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 12-13-2014 Thanks! I will work it once I start painting for sure. That's just the simple sketch, I will obviously put some cut aways and gaps around at the thighs area and arms at least. :) RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 12-16-2014 Aand some color schemes.. Any favorites? :) Thanks! RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - Bookend - 12-16-2014 I like the colour scheme of the top left the most. It strikes me as some kind of sleazy place where people come and choose their robot companion. All in all, your work is really well done. Keep working hard! RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 12-16-2014 Thank you Bookend. I'm still hesitating between that first one oyu mentionned and the one with the orange background (middle right). I've been working too much with blue/green colors lately and I'd like to maybe take a more original take on the color scheme and try to make it kinda "creepy" even by using a warm color scheme... Kinda like Fung Chin Pang http://cellar-fcp.deviantart.com/art/two-prostitutes-106774403 .. See what I mean? :) RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - Bookend - 12-16-2014 (12-16-2014, 08:35 PM)LaleAnn Wrote: Thank you Bookend. I'm still hesitating between that first one oyu mentionned and the one with the orange background (middle right). Oh, yeah totally! Actually, the one you pointed out is one of my favourites. But, I'm definitely leaning pinky over there, 'cause it's got this... Tacky/cheesy feel to it. I dunno. And you don't often see yellow neon lights. But, in any case, maybe try to look for more references for how you might like the lighting? http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/LocationPhotoDirectLink-g298307-d640221-i35644829-Century_Hotel-Kota_Kinabalu_Kota_Kinabalu_District_West_Coast_Division_Sab.html is something I found. Not an easy subject material to find though, . Maybe the ambient lighting could be this dingy, yellow overcast, and then these neon lights. I dunno if it would be confusing and difficult to read, though. RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 12-16-2014 Yeah i get what you mean. Most people i've asked lean towards that too.. I tried a few more tweaks (and numbered them).. It's basically gonna be A or E2 i think. RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 12-18-2014 Aaand first WIP... :) Having a hard time but lots of fun too! :) RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 01-08-2015 Hey guys! Back from holidays and finally managed to finish my painting! :) RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 01-09-2015 Aaand did a little final touch up on "Jessica". It was damn tough and I think I got out of my comfort zone with this one but it was totally worth it. Thanks for stopping by! RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - Adam Lina - 01-09-2015 Oh nice job on that cyber slut lady! That photo graininess you added really gave it the feel of a sleazy advertisement from a porno magazine. And you added the glowing genitals XD RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 01-09-2015 Haha thanks! Yeah I'm glad if it has a gloomy/creepy feel :) It's all about prostitution and sex's objectivation and so on.. RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - StardustLarva - 01-09-2015 Yeah, I agree with Adam, that piece is nicely done. It has a very dystopian feel. It reminds me a lot of the novel The Holy Machine by Chris Beckett, have you ever read it? RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 01-09-2015 Thank you Stardust! Hmm no, I never heard of it! What is it about? 0.0 RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 01-16-2015 Have been working non stop lately! :D Here's a WIP for an ongoing challenge. I will hopefully add the colors and finish it today. And after that, I'll be spending some time doing only studies! RE: Lale's Traditional and Digital sketches! - LaleAnn - 01-17-2015 Almost done! :) |
