But y'know... Five days in a row :p Anyway! Here's some work on my masterstudy, a finished piece, some studies, some application of studies, and a WIP of the next piece I'm working on :) RE: Forrest's Sketchbook of Wondercanes and Dreamsicles. - ArthurOh - 11-02-2012 Forrest! Its awesome that you're constantly making new paintings. Super quick crit on the surprise attack painting up there. Its really really green. I know you're still working on it, but you should try to smuggle in some different colors in there. Also you could open up the painting a bit more and add in the rest of that orcs face, the one that got shot in the chest. Other than that, looking good! RE: Forrest's Sketchbook of Wondercanes and Dreamsicles. - Forrestimel - 11-02-2012 Arthur! Thanks :D I know it's really green ha, I tried the traditional method of laying orange in the background beforehand so that some would sneak through the green but I'll try and get some warm colors in there along with maybe some blues or something. I wanted to keep the orcs face out to show that basically he is dead and other then the arrows sticking out of his body he's unimportant now, maybe it doesn't seem that way though idk ha :P Taking a challenge started by Sam Carr to do a sketchbook page every day for all of November. It'll be a nice way to stay fresh with traditional mediums :) Also, Happy Self Portrait Day! Keep up with the good work! RE: Forrest's Sketchbook of Wondercanes and Dreamsicles. - Forrestimel - 11-12-2012 Edmond Au I'm really glad you see some inspiration of Brad in my work because I absolutely love his work and wish to paint like that someday :) Thanks Figures, some studies for a commission I'm currently working on and can't wait to show off, and progress on my invader zim piece :) Life's good |
