Put the 'art' in 'fart' - James Zapata - 01-27-2012 Some stuff I have RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - Sublimus - 01-27-2012 Very nice! Your sense of color is great! If I was to crit one thing, it looks like you're avoiding drawing feet, or rushing them when you are drawing them. I'm terrible at drawing feet too, but you have to confront them! RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - Ursula Dorada - 01-27-2012 Very nice work man, I love the colors. RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - James Zapata - 02-12-2012 A few updates: Here was my entry for Bloodsport 4: A few sketches And lastly, my color comps for the Miyazaki Re-Marketed challenge I couldn't finish :( RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - DK - 02-12-2012 mmmm, nice work man. The one with the girls ass is looking good! RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - James Zapata - 03-14-2012 Some recent stuff! RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - James Zapata - 03-19-2012 RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - Piotr Jasielski - 03-19-2012 Nice work, keep it up! As for advice, it seems to me, some of Your illustrations have a bit too high contrast - the transition from middle tones to black is too sudden. It might be monitor thing, though. RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - James Zapata - 03-28-2012 Clayface WIP started yesterday. RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - James Zapata - 03-31-2012 Finished clayface! RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - isra-ac - 03-31-2012 I just saw this sketchbook, awesome work!! RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - Victor Quaresma - 04-01-2012 your stuff is awesome man! totally mindfucked with the lightning dick ahahahahhah RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - James Zapata - 04-02-2012 Thanks a lot, dudes. Victor, he is aiming that dick right at you. Here is a WIP shot of my next Batman villain, Scarecrow. RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - brenthollowell - 04-02-2012 i dig your stuff a lot man, i think we are both suckers for lighting and movement. looking forward to more. RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - Tooth - 04-02-2012 Wow can't wait for the scarecrow, James :) The detail is insane, good job! RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - Piotr Jasielski - 04-02-2012 May I ask what brush or texture did You use for the last piece. Looks very believable. Also, as a morning exercise I decided to do a little paintover. Hope You don't mind. My main concern is the contrast and to be more precise - bounce light. In the clayface piece You did a quite a good job with lighting, but You almost didn't employ bounce light at all. You should think how the light bounced from his shoulder interacts with the part of his face covered with shadow. Implementing bounce light is just a small change, yet it plays a really big role in making an illustration more believable and realistic. Here is the paintover. I hope it will be visible (it seems images i upload are somehow ivisible for most of viewers). The easiest way to see a difference would be to overlay it on your original and turn this layer on and off. Hope this would be of any help to You. Best wishes. <3 RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - James Zapata - 04-04-2012 Piotr, thanks for the comments. The suggestion was a good one, but I consider this finished the way it is. Thanks, though! And here is Scarecrow, weeeeee RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - Piotr Jasielski - 04-04-2012 Fantastic work. Great texture and lightning, really hard to nitpick anything. RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - rich4rt - 04-04-2012 cool stuff, nice textures, more! :D RE: Put the 'art' in 'fart' - James Zapata - 04-06-2012 Thanks! Here's a new WIP bit. |
