Shuty's Sketchbook - Shuty - 03-06-2013 Hey everyone, I already have a sketchbook over at CGhub here , but decided to start posting here as well :) RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - EduardoGaray - 03-06-2013 cool sketchbook so far, nice to see you here. RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - lungcell - 03-07-2013 Sweet sketchbook :) I'm enjoying your pencils and all the portraits. RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Shuty - 03-28-2013 hey guys, little update here's acrylic sketch I did yesterday, I'd like to push it more critique is very welcome as I'm still learning how to paint with acrylics any tips and tricks? :) RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Mr. Toodles - 03-29-2013 whoooooooa i love it all. no critques for you sorry I don't use acrylics RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Shuty - 03-29-2013 Mr. Toodles that's ok and thanks! stuff from yesterday, quick studies and ink sketches RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Toxicpanda - 03-29-2013 Love your portrait sketches. About acrylic painting, I really like the idea of using classical portraits and replacing them with skull-tho skull seems to be a little bit flat in the front where the nose is- on your previous paper sketch you can see that skull is a bit curved up there. Apart from that looks good. Have fun and keep up with good work :D RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Shuty - 03-30-2013 Toxicpanda Thank you! looking at it now I didnt really fix it and it still looks kinda flat :/ update RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Toxicpanda - 03-30-2013 It looks flat because what you're missing is- Light :) You didn't use any light source so what I would suggest you to create two light sources-one from the front and other from the side of the skull (his back)- so when you add shadows make the other side of skull darker and you will get depth that you were missing. RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Shuty - 04-01-2013 Toxicpanda Thank you again, you are very helpful, I will have to do some studies for light, shadows etc. I need to get it in my head late night character sketches, I hope to finish them sooner or later RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Shuty - 04-02-2013 this character didn't turn out as I want it but meh, still got some XP from it :D wips anatomy studies RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - EduardoGaray - 04-03-2013 Nice SB Shuty! some of your quick sketches have nice shinkawa vibe. The movement of your last grayscale character sketches is great too. RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Shuty - 04-04-2013 EduardoGaray Thanks! oh Shinkawa what a genius, wish I was half as good as him :D wip characters done for fun, i migh add more in this style RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Shuty - 04-06-2013 done with her random sketches RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Shuty - 04-21-2013 Bloodspotrts 15 - Guild of Golems RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - Shuty - 04-23-2013 small update, I'm trying to get more into environments RE: Shuty's Sketchbook - matt_radway - 04-23-2013 awesome work!
