Robertthem's sketchbook - robertthem - 04-12-2013 Hey there! I'm Mateus and recently I've been taking this drawing thing really serious. But since I don't have any teacher I'm going to post some of my studies and sketches here so you guys can give me some tips. Right now I'm just trying to get the shape and form of the main muscle groups, I'll get into more detail once I think I nailed it. RE: Robertthem's sketchbook - smrr - 04-12-2013 Hiya! Welcome to Daggers! :D You're off to a good start! Ooh wowie, your line quality is niiiice! Hmm, I would recommend giving gesture/figure studies a shot - preferably the 30-60 second ones - I found they really helped me in seeing the basic human form. Then, when studying up on the skeletal structure and muscle mass - it all becomes a lot easier to understand and place! :) RE: Robertthem's sketchbook - robertthem - 04-12-2013 I practice gesture drawing as a warmup every morning, I fill one page of gestures, which is about 15 gestures. How many more should I do? RE: Robertthem's sketchbook - robertthem - 04-12-2013 Main muscle groups on the arm (the bones are kinda weird, I know) RE: Robertthem's sketchbook - robertthem - 04-20-2013 RE: Robertthem's sketchbook - robertthem - 04-24-2013 RE: Robertthem's sketchbook - robertthem - 04-27-2013 RE: Robertthem's sketchbook - robertthem - 05-29-2013 |
