Zakknroll's sketchbook - zakknroll - 07-08-2013 Hi people, I'm openning my sketchbook here. As I Said on my "Introduce Yourself" Thread I'm here Because I want to Improve and grow up as an artist, I love comic art (actualy mostly european comics) and now I hope to work with Concept art and Character Designer, But before I give my first try I need to be an good artist, So here I am, waiting for feedback and critics that will make me a better artist. PS: I'm improving my english as well, so I hope you don't mind my mistakes on it. I've been training everyday, everyday really, the most hours I can, I study composition, anatomy, gesture drawings, painting, animation principes and so on . Some months Ago I saw the Algenpfleger Thread on Conceptart.org an after I get so amazed with the results he got I'm trying something similar now. Well, Let me start: First some photo studies, In the beggining I was using the PS color Picker, cause I had a lot of dificult to 'see" the right color,, but now I'm training and just picking the color wih "my eyes". Trying skin tones(I failed): From imagination: Later I'll post more. RE: Zakknroll's sketchbook - zakknroll - 07-08-2013 More stuff RE: Zakknroll's sketchbook - SpectreX - 07-08-2013 Hey! Great that you opened a sketchbook here! Here a few things that came to my mind when I looked at your work. First I really like some of your own sketches and designs like the ones frome post #7 They are fun to look at! You also seem to have a feeling for forms and space. I like your gesture studys, but I think you could try to draw more long, continuous, flowy lines. In case you are not familiar with it, Proko has a great figure drawing series on youtube. Another thought that I had, is that you could try to focus your studies on more essential things. I´d advice you, to first focus on drawing realted subjects like perspective for example. Then you maybe go on to values and finally colour theory. Keep it up man! RE: Zakknroll's sketchbook - DoubleThink - 12-04-2013 Wow, you're picking up the digital painting really fast! Keep posting! RE: Zakknroll's sketchbook - darktiste - 12-07-2013 Hi there i want to share my opinion with you i think that you should try to make realistic portrait before going into a stylized style so that you know anatomy well after that you will be even better at exaggeration. RE: Zakknroll's sketchbook - Mr. Toodles - 12-13-2013 some strong effort in this so far, why not start with some composition studies of masters, I'm sure they'll give you a feel for scale and shapes. welcome to the forum :) RE: Zakknroll's sketchbook - zakknroll - 12-14-2013 Wow, too many comments \o/ Matthias Kinnigkeit - Thank you, I'll.do more focus studies, please, come back here always you want to. =) DoubleThink - thank you so much, I'll you keep doing that and I hope to see you again here. ;) darktiste - Thanks, I'll follow your advice, I'll post that soon. Mr. Toodles - Thanks a ton for the tip, I'll do some master studies. Hey, don't you have a skethbook here? I didn't find it. So, some new stuff: Gestures (60 sec each): A quickly landscape paiting from imagination, I didn't like the colors: Some eyes studies: Anatomy sketchs, from imagination: And a little tree from imagination: That's it for today. |
