Castañón's Stuff - Castaguer - 08-30-2013
Hello all, My name is Manuel Castañón Guerrero and Im an aspiring artist from Mexico.
I have drawn all my life, the problem is that for 18 years of it I considered copying stuff, even for reality, as "cheating" somehow I thought artist were some supertalented beings who could reproduce images out of nothing and that I just didn't have it in me, until 9 months ago that I was taught the importance of studies and everything started to click, suddeny I was improving faster than I thought possible and even though im not that good yet, I realized
This is what I want to do, and artist, what I want to become...

Thank you! but I don't think Im ready yet, I tried going proffesional a few months ago lol didn't get anything xD It was a very humbling experience, but I wasn't ready yet, nor I am now, gotta keep practicing!

Hi Castaguer. That picture of the dragon by moonlight is really great but I think the blue is too saturated and too close in value to the dragon. If you lowered both of these I think it would really make that silhouette pop. Maybe even increase the size of the moon to include part of the head. Hope that's of some help. Nice sketchbook.

thanks everybody! Ignatz, I can definitely see what you're saying, that was one of my first "serious" pieces and I didn't know mopst of the theory I do now, maybe I'll remake the oainting altogether! xD either way, here are yesterday's environments :D hope you like
