It made me giggle, in a good way. :D It might be worth trying a comp where he's flying up into the sky, so not so close to the ground, and you can see the trees from a semi top-down view/angle. It should work without changing him at all, just get rid of his shadow and show the tops of trees and maybe their house? Might make for a more interesting background. Keep it up!
