Portrait study - Percival - 10-20-2013

Hello fellow daggers,

I did this portrait study and I don't know how to push it to the next level Thinking

Find more then mid and dark tone by adding the highlightzone. Next time work to get the head angle right.

if you want to push it to a next level

Draw it on a single layer next time, also perhaps add another level or two of value. I think you are going to a strong stylized portrait. Try drawing him just as is (all levels of value) as a study, then do a stylized version that only emphasizes the main chunks of value you are wanting.
