Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 05-11-2014 Ok. so I wanted to start a sketchbook here a long time ago but I just did not know what to post because I was drawing everything at the same time. But I did some sort of "restart" and started studying portraits and I thought "Well, this would be a great time to start a sketchbook on CD". I and Art have been on an on-and-off relationship for years now and for about a year I decided to take it more serious. It has been a rough ride ever since but I really want to do this and every critique is welcome. Right now I work mostly with traditional art because I just feel more comfortable with it but I thing I will switch to digital in the future (again). So here are my first few portrait-studies. I hope you enjoy, c&c always welcome. I just don't want to "double-post" so I guess these are staying out of the critique-section. RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 05-21-2014 Here is a little fan-comic I did for an Austrian stunt-duo. (I put it in a spoiler cuz it's so long XD) RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 06-12-2014 The "left-handed-journey" RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 10-30-2014 Long time no post. Something I did today: (done with left and right hand) RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 11-04-2014 Posting EVERYWHERE!! RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 12-10-2014 Something new done with my 3DS RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 12-10-2014 Designs from a while ago RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 12-21-2014 My latest anatomy studies of the upper upper body RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 12-23-2014 Todays fast-sketches (i like to do sketches like that very fast without thinking about it to try out how well i remember the anatomy). I wanna do some more studies of anatomy - then go to drapery and clothing and basic coloring afterwards. Did a quick coloring of one of the sketches aswell (just to train coloring) RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 12-25-2014 Merry Christmas :D Did this in a few minutes. Love to work fast (even though I made a lot of mistakes XDD) RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 12-26-2014 Studied the anatomy of the arms. I like it alot <3 RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 12-26-2014 Again studying the anatomy and bringing the figure into some kind of context. I don't like to leave figures just blank. When I like a pose or figure I like to "decorate" them more. (btw I dont really watch that show XD the figure just reminded me of what I know about it) RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 02-24-2015 Hi, long time no post... I used a lot of ball pen recently. I just love drawing with ball pen... Please tell me what you think. The angry priest Some smashbros and nintendo pics: RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 03-12-2015 Just a bunch of "new" drawings... RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - StardustLarva - 03-13-2015 I see someone likes Nintendo, heh. One thing I would say is that your lines could use some work in those pen drawings, they're a little bit messy at the moment. A tip I can suggest to get better, more confident lines is to make quick strokes with the pen, which can produce more precise, cleaner lines. Takes a bit of practice though. Another thing I can suggest is to perhaps make little strokes above the paper before actually placing lines, as it can help you get a more precise trajectory for your lines. I can see you've shaded those drawings, which is good, but again the shading looks a bit scribbly. Perhaps you could try a method such as cross-hatching. Anyway, you've got some good stuff so far. Keep it coming! RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 09-25-2015 (03-13-2015, 01:49 AM)StardustLarva Wrote: I see someone likes Nintendo, heh. Woah, just read that now XD sry have not been doing alot here lately. Thanks for the tip. that helps. Here is something i did recently... still those messy lines. I'm gonna work on that!!!! RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - BitingHorse - 10-01-2015 Done at night at work when there was nothing to do. Tools used were a multi colored ballpen, text markers and black ink/a black waterbrush. RE: Da Sketchbook of da Horse - lurch - 10-02-2015 i like the girls in this last post, would be cool to see you push something, develop it and take it a bit further, maybe work in some reference studies too, i like your stuff tho, but it looks like you've got more to show us.
