well, I've got a looong way to go, but not bad for my first ever airplane. Following Ctrl+Paint's tutorial. Mine and the original. Any comments appreciated. This post begins my sketchbook!

Working on this still life. Wow, it is REALLY difficult to paint this lightbulb! Mainly to get the perfectly round curves. Might have to use the pen tool for that.
The leaves were also a challenge. But I am learning a ton, this is my first still life since high school. Mostly learning how saturation changes depending on how close the leaves are to the lamp, and noticing a lot of interesting reflections etc.
Any comments/critiques welcome! I think I'm going to have to really push the contrast because right now it looks quite flat.

I like those legs at the bottom right!! keep studyin that still life it helps!!
