M0uses's Pad - Pocketm0use - 10-29-2014 Ah I joined your community a while back and have been doing that horrible lurking thing for the longest time. Lately I've done a couple of studies from photographs and some other junk. So here goes. I work part time and do freelance work on the side- I'm not really a painter but here is some of that stuff. Right now I feel like my work lacks energy and isn't relate-able. I've been focusing on improving my draughtsmanship, but still have a long way to go. Gonna work through some of the tutorials posted about. Any pointers from you lovely folk would be massively appreciated! RE: M0uses's Pad - Pocketm0use - 10-30-2014 RE: M0uses's Pad - Pocketm0use - 10-31-2014 10 min studies & a wip RE: M0uses's Pad - CoreyH - 10-31-2014 Wild colours man I like it. Looking forward to seeing more! RE: M0uses's Pad - Pocketm0use - 04-09-2015 Thanks Corey! I've been making a lot of comics lately, as well as doing the sketching-every-day thing. I feel like my draughtsmanship is starting to improve, but i'm still having trouble translating a real/accurate sense of 3d into 2d? If any of you have any tips for that, it would be a real pleasure to hear them. Here's some of my favs from the last couple of months: RE: M0uses's Pad - Pocketm0use - 05-15-2015 First painting (not a study but trying to apply new knowledge): highlighted a need to focus on transmitted light. Made a maquette out of plasticine for fun/reference. (Need a better camera/macro lens tbh.) also the usual: made a butt load of comics, so here's a couple. |
