Seeking a partner or partners - StardustLarva - 11-15-2014 Hello there. I've been posting on this forum for a while now, which I have found very helpful. However, I do believe that if I were to work with a partner, I could potentially learn more by receiving and giving feedback with another individual or individuals. I know that there is much I need to improve on, in particular drawing form and perspective, among other things. I believe working with others that have knowledge in these facets could help me potentially. About myself-I'm from the UK and am an aspiring illustrator. Specifically, I am geared towards scientific illustration, particularly of invertebrates and animal anatomy, but am interested in working in other fields of illustration such as general book illustration. I'm happy to work with anyone who specialises in any kind of illustration, though. At the moment I have a lot of spare time on my hands, so anytime during the weekdays I should be free to study with others. If you're interested in working with me, please reply or send me a PM. Thank you. RE: Seeking a partner or partners - Heliux - 11-17-2014 Hey man! We'd be happy to have you over at the Daily Study Group and Daily Imaginative. We do weekly-roundtable critiques and there's typically someone always on at different points. (I know Jonny's in the UK as well) We're going to start up an ip project soon to get some solidarity among work (A good way to hold each other accountable) and get some pieces that have a consistent theme. :} The idea is that they feed into each other, do a study, apply it to imaginative work...do imaginative work and see where you need to learn. I'd also recommend making a deathline with achievable goals and a well drawn out plan of progression if you haven't yet, so we'd know how to best support you! :p e.g. http://topachievement.com/smart.html http://www.bakadesuyo.com/2012/06/what-type-of-practice-produces-peak-performan/ ------------------------ Daily Studies and Imaginative: http://crimsondaggers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4592&page=14 http://crimsondaggers.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=5504&page=4 RE: Seeking a partner or partners - StardustLarva - 11-18-2014 Hello Heliux, thank you for your response. I would happily join your group, it sounds ideal. Where is it held? On the forums or in a live chat or something? RE: Seeking a partner or partners - Heliux - 11-18-2014 links ^above in first post. On the main page its under Partner/Group Dailies. If you shoot me your skype name I can add you to the group chat (anyone's welcome) RE: Seeking a partner or partners - Vompt - 11-18-2014 Hey Heliux! Can I join too? I want to start doing more studies and god knows that I'm rusty in my digital painting. What I really need is some people to support me and I'm ready to support you and everyone else in the group too! I know that I've been really inconsistent with my posts here but I guess it's because I was kind of scared to participate. I know you're not bad guys... But now I'm ready. The only problem is that I don't think I'll be able to do livestreams but we can still chat on Skype! |
