Really entertaining sketchbook you got going on mate. I dig a lot the still lifes from the last page, they're comming out real solid, specially the transparencies and scattering effects. This latest GoT screencap looks cool, I wanna see what you do with it in further refinement I bet it's gonna be pretty awesome.

I also like the figure studies, the more of that stuff the better linework will come out. Digging your stuff man!

Dr. Anselm Gray (1894 – 1955)

This is a possible start of a personal horror project called "Penance". I'll be doing a series of characters, creatures and environments. Each painting will have a backstory (Dr. Gray does as well), which I am going to release later in the series. I am doing this because I like art that makes you feel something in the pit of your stomach, but you can't look away. I don't like painting things, just to make them look cool, but without any general purpose. With this project I'm putting a tap on myself painting things that people scroll through and look at for 2 seconds before moving on to the next thing. Anyway, I'm rambling...please like, share and enjoy if you'd like to see more of this world and the story behind it.

That horror project looks pretty cool. I like the designs especially. The anatomy on the impure though is a bit wonky. It is a mutated monster though but the anatomical problems dont seem like they're on purpose. The legs are a bit long and the hips seem to be missing. I would take a reference photo for the pose. I think a well thought out gesture of an anatomically correct creepy pose will sell the creepiness more. Not to say after you nail the figure you shouldnt exaggerate the anatomy to enhance the creepiness. But at that point you can make a more conscious decision of what to exaggerate. Hopefully you get what I mean and all this rambling wasnt for nothing.

I have been pretty busy with uni stuff. For the last 2 months they've been having us make prototypes for games, made up by us. That means working with game engines, coding and modeling in Maya. All things that are new to me (although kind of fun). I just wanted to say why I've been absent from the forums recently. Don't get me wrong, I have been doing my anatomy studies every morning as per usual, but I haven't been painting as much. That is going to change. I have decided that I will be changing my game into a game that allows me to make concept art for all sorts of interesting things. I have already done dragons, witches, zombies and goblins as you can see in my previous posts. Time to keep on keeping on! If any of you have suggestions for cliche monsters you think I should do, please comment! For now...some still life paintings :D
