Invoicing Software. - JonHop - 10-29-2015 Hi does anyone know of some good free/cheap software that can be used to bill clients with? I have been doing work through Elance and now upwork which does this for you but with Elance being closed and having moved to upwork, the upwork fees etc are a lot more and I would like to know of any good software that you guys use or know of to bill your clients with etc? Thanks :). RE: Invoicing Software. - Amit Dutta - 11-04-2015 Paypal has invoicing built in, but it is fairly basic. I haven't needed to move to more dedicated software yet, but I found a few opensource things that offer free versions that might be useful? http://demo.opensourcebilling.org/ https://www.invoiceninja.com/ http://www.simpleinvoices.org/ https://invoiceplane.com/ couldn't say which is the best, but a few look like they have great features, lots of different paysite integration, reporting and tracking etc. And here are 27 more! ...with some overlap. http://mashable.com/2013/09/03/free-invoicing-tools/#AaPEVeLV.kqT Let us know how it goes! RE: Invoicing Software. - JonHop - 11-04-2015 Thank you Amit! I really appreciate it! From what I was reading about it (and now with the paypalme update link) it's pretty easy I guess to just create a word document with the link and all details. Invoice ninja has some very nice looking invoice templates though and it may be a simpler way of keeping track of everything (all financial records in one place etc) to use one of the websites. Do you just use paypal directly? RE: Invoicing Software. - Amit Dutta - 11-05-2015 No worries man, I was going to look into it eventually for myself, so you gave me an excuse to. Yeah I pretty much exclusively use paypal, unless it is a local client, for which I prefer bank transfers. You can use the request money tab to send invoices and track them etc. Paypalme isn't available for New Zealand so can't say anything there. Yeah I was going to suggest using pre-made templates and just send out your own pdfs. Guess it just depends how much admin time you want to devote to that stuff!
