Evening study hangout/ Skype Hub - helloworld - 07-14-2016
Hello allll.
So, often times I find myself working on a piece in the late evening and wishing I had someone to exchange critiques/general art babble with since I don't have any artist friends that I can prod with these sort of things. I'd like to maybe do studies (material, still life) most evenings, as well as focus on creating a portfolio piece each month. Apart from that, I would also simply enjoy having a hub to chitchat with my fellow artists.
Study Nights can be decided upon everyone's availability time. I'm free most evenings from 7pm to 2am Central time. Yessss, I am a major night owl.
We could use either Skype's screenshare or google hangouts for our purposes.
A skype group chat would be a nice start, I feel! Let me know if this would interest anyone and I'll set one up.
Of course, the group isn't limited to just studies and working on portfolios, there's some fun things we can do like Drawful.

I didnt know skype had group chat. I know the screen sharing on skype is pretty terrible. I was going into the CD hangout for a while. If you hangout long enough and post in the shout box some times people will join. About 2 years ago it was very active from what I hear. Also theres this facebook hangout hub with links to a bunch of hangouts that are still pretty active.

If you go to the right of the page under the "members" box you click "see more" and it shows the links to the different hangouts.

Oooh, thanks for that, Adam. Will check it out. I knew there was a google hangout that I went into a few years ago but I wasn't sure if that was still super active. Added you on skype :)
Edit: Forgot to say that Skype does have a group chat option, it's pretty nifty since everyone is generally on skype all the time--either logged through their phone or while working on the computer.
