Milena sketchbook studies - Milena Mantovani Buzzinaro - 08-14-2016 Hi guys! I am a girl who draws and paints in photoshop and in the traditional ways. I want to be an artist character, illustrator and work for animation, movies and more! Help me in the evolution of my art! Accept criticism and what you want to tell me !! Pleeease and thank you <3 RE: Milena sketchbook studies - Fedodika - 08-24-2016 Hey Milena! you have an interesting name hehe and you have a unique personality i thinks :P Hmm, Your coloring is interesting, i can see you have a different taste in colors than I do for sure; But that's a good thing! I think you should work more on your proportions and drawing skillz, like fundamentals You can see here the problem isn't so much values or detail, its the shape of the head http://i.imgur.com/xATDGjL.jpg You're getting there with this one http://i.imgur.com/QwPdZ6w.jpg Try to take your painting and overlay the reference on top of your painting and line it up to see the differences, it can be shocking for even long time artists :o Also do stuff like this until you get sick of it, then do it more haha. I think it was Jason Seiler who said, Drawing is good, drawing more is better, drawing more is even better, painting is fine, but drawing is just better. http://i.imgur.com/yFDvN9E.jpg http://i.imgur.com/jO7mELd.jpg http://i.imgur.com/JWGBkZu.jpg Don't be afraid to post here often, cheers ;P RE: Milena sketchbook studies - Ahanu - 08-24-2016 (08-14-2016, 07:04 AM)Milena Mantovani Buzzinaro Wrote: Hi guys! Hey Milena, I agree with the above comment: your colors are interesting! I like how rich they are. The dog in front of the ocean is my favorite. As for the people you drew, I suggest showing how you progress from beginning to end. That way I can offer some constructive criticism. RE: Milena sketchbook studies - Anton_Fort - 08-24-2016 Hi and welcome to the forum!) Great stuff here but I see that you have much to learn. Here some tips that might help you out. If you want to do some character concept art that you should do that and not just environments cuz character concept-art is a bit different that environments or illustration. You should focus on fundamentals. I see that your colors have a unique style and they are interesting really but for now focus on values, proportions of a human body, basic anatomy knowledge, lighting. Try to light basic shapes (cubes, spheres etc.). Wee all do this) I'm not a pro-artist but we all came here to become better. So keep drawing, posting here and struggling) RE: Milena sketchbook studies - Milena Mantovani Buzzinaro - 09-06-2016 Gesture: Life drawing: Drawings and paintings: RE: Milena sketchbook studies - Milena Mantovani Buzzinaro - 10-07-2016 Hellooo Guys! So, i was studying digital painting. I did a lot of painting, every day, but it was not helping me learning. I painted and just if surplus time, i drew something and studied about something. Like you will see in studies for the feet. Here is more a example of random study. And, i liked do this study. But i was stuck with painting every day. Some peoples, in this forum, spoke to me for draw and draw and draw, because this will better your painting. So ok, I decided study the anatomy of the human body, start with skull, after the muscles of the face, and so on. Here is a few study. The most presentable, I think. But I did a lot. That is it. Study this way, it's funny because you see what you need learn. Well, sorry for my english. I'm studying this too, so i'm working hard. Thanks for reading and tell me what you think and what I need know :D RE: Milena sketchbook studies - Fedodika - 10-08-2016 Keep doing what you're doing and you will see the results when you get back to painting! Try to keep doing this for a month maybe before you paint again ;) RE: Milena sketchbook studies - Piotr Jasielski - 10-08-2016 Hey, it's a rylly nice sketchook, lot of studies and analizing. Keep this up! My main critique would be - you need to better control your values. You have too much contrast in you work, darks are way too dark. You can easily see that with the dino study you did - the original has way more subtle values. Try using the Black and white filter or saturation layer to check values. Good luck :) RE: Milena sketchbook studies - Milena Mantovani Buzzinaro - 12-26-2016 Hello guys! I’m back, it was much time I didn’t post here. But this post will be the last of year. So, I did many studies and I’ll show for you the best of them. At the first image, the study consist in values black and white, it was the beginning of the pass of study. The last two pictures is tradicional painting, in gouache. I did this studies because I was in a class of digital painting, so this studies is what the teacher asked. After paint with one value, I used the analogue colors, learning about value and how to choose color for light and shadow. This picture I added black with my painting, becoming more difficult. So now, we learned about the triangle of Goethe. Is a powerful tool for how to choose harmonic colors. I did this study for see it was able to use the same palette and choose the values. Ah, I didn’t stop study anatomy. However, just these drawings are good to show now. Hahaha Now, I’ll show some illustrations I did in the free times for to train create scenes and composition and everything more. So if someone have some tips and want help I'll love! Thanks everyone! <3 |
