If it's the former; I learned from a combination of Loomis's book, looking at other artist's work and reference photos and sometimes also looking at the mirror on the side of my desk. I can see the development so far too.Thanks! Okay. That's cool. I can't afford models so I'm doing the same thing (Loomis, Bridgeman and Hogarth are the books I look at). It's comforting to know I could still get to a good level without shelling out a bunch of cash.
