RE: Pushin' though hard times. - Zipfelzeus - 03-08-2017

This sketch came out rather well today. I was really surprised how fast I was able to finish it considering my last two attemps :O

RE: Pushin' though hard times. - Zipfelzeus - 03-08-2017

Finally a finished piece. Haha. Need to do more.

RE: Pushin' though hard times. - Zipfelzeus - 03-10-2017

Another drawing.

Great job on that finished piece! Your character designs are very interesting. It seems you have a tendency to exaggerate the same feature a lot (the hand and feet for instance). If that's how you want to draw that's fine, but I think it'll provide more variety by varying the body types. Keep going :D!

Nahh it's sadly not a stylistic choice :( I just still very much fail at hands and feet haha. I'll do more studies focusing on those! Thanks for the comment! And yes I'll hopefully try to get more diversity in my bodyshapes.

For now: Here is a wolfi drawing.

RE: Pushin' though hard times. - Zipfelzeus - 03-12-2017

I found these great photos of hands in weird lighting situation so I  focus on hands and color at the same time. Amazing.  Hahaha. Also another drawing.

Hey no worries. I hope it does work again it would be quite sad if I kept uploading stuff but no one could see it haha.

Warm up sketches done with a cheap 20 cents pen haha.

RE: Pushin' though hard times. - Zipfelzeus - 03-22-2017

Studies and sketches.

RE: Pushin' though hard times. - Zipfelzeus - 03-29-2017

Ghibli studies for some pieces I did that I don't really want to show.... but hey here are the studies yay.

RE: Pushin' though hard times. - Zipfelzeus - 04-04-2017

Warm up sketches. Study and a finished piece. Heyho.

RE: Pushin' though hard times. - Zipfelzeus - 04-24-2017

Sorry for the absense. Life is just a bit busy D:

Here are some very bad studies. Why do they suck so bad? Why are the face proportions all over the place? Well I painted them upside down and let me tell you: It makes painting faces a lot harder. So here is some major suckage haha

Also a new personal piece:

RE: Pushin' though hard times. - Zipfelzeus - 04-25-2017

Fixed some things after receiving some feedback. Still quite a lot of issues present. Gotta keep learnin!

Also a study from one of my favourite artist piotr jablonski!

RE: Pushin' though hard times. - Zipfelzeus - 04-29-2017

Warm up sketches in pen and some studies in pencil.

The fluidity of pen is inspiring, I find. I know it can be viewed as a rigid medium, but it can have such flow and flexibility. Nice to see your work, nice progress. Keep going!

Thank you Bookend. I'm trying to improve my lines. You can't erase with pen so each stroke better be right on the stop. I'm not saying I'm succeeding far from it but hopefully it makes me place my lines more carefully.

It's also quite fun if you don't get discouraged by the fact  that all your drawings are going to be terrible haha

Okay another quick sketch and study dump.

Sketching with pen is a good thing for confident lines! As for painting faces upside down, it was a joke right?
Keep going with them personal pieces :)

Hey there neopatogen! I hope you art studies are going well. I wish I had more time to spend so I could browse and comment more on other people's sketchbook but I have hardly time for my own :(
And no that wasn't a joke. A portrait painter suggested to me to do this as an exercise, so I thought I give it a shot haha.

Studies, studies and personal piece yay ho.

RE: Pushin' though hard times. - Zipfelzeus - 05-16-2017

I have food next to me so you better appreciate that I take the time to update! Haha.

Studies, warm up and messy sketch book pages.
