2017 Goals
1. Create an illustration/concept design portfolio to get freelance work (at least 20 pieces of artwork).
2. Stretch and exercise more.
3. Learn how things work (especially mechanical stuff).

I was figuring my goals and stuff out in January(trial and error period), so I haven't made any progress on my 2017 goals then.

February
My main goal this month is to finish an illustration (kinda geared towards Magic the Gathering). My Desert Warlock design is a secondary goal, but I would like to finish that this month as well.

Goals:
1. Thunder Elemental illustration
Finish colored thumbnail by Feb 5
Have piece mostly done by Feb 12 for critique
Revise piece by Feb 26 for second critique

2. Desert Warlock Design
 Finish research by Feb 5
1 page of studies by Feb 6
 20 thumbnails by Feb 8
5 detailed thumbnails by Feb 9
3 color variations by by Feb 10
1 semi-rendered version by Feb 12 for critique

Weekday Schedule:
 morning stretch
9:30-12:30 Model Drawing time
12:30-1:30 Lunch (general sketchbook studies for how things work or thumbnails)
every other day, do a 15 min walk outside
1:30-4:30 Cast / Still-life Drawing (sometimes lectures and demos from teacher)
4:30-7:00 Digital Painting / Sketchbook Studies (applies to Illustration/Design*)
every other day, lift weights and stretch
8:30-9:00 Reference Collecting / Digital Studies (applies to Illustration/Design*)
 break
9:30-12:30 Illustration / Design Work Time
[On Mondays, 5:30-9:30 is Portrait / Figure Drawing time.]

Weekends (these can change a lot, so I'm not setting a schedule):
- Illustration / Design work
- Studies on how things work, anatomy, color, perspective, etc.
- Exercises and Stretches
- Chores
- Figure Drawing Sessions
- Breaks

* for the studies for my work this month, it'll be stuff like thunder, storm clouds, smoke, etc. for my illustration work.

Looks good Axrel :). Don't be put off if not everything goes to plan, just ick yourself back up and put one foot in front of the other!

Good luck!

Thanks! Yah, I'll keep that in mind! :) I'm hoping that as long as I meet 70% of what I accomplish I'd be good. I know that there'll be days that something unexpected may come up or I may get suddenly busy with other work, but I'll try my best! :D
