Oh wow man. Looking at your sketchbook over again, the improvement is apparent! Right now you are at a quite good level, even more taking in consideration the time you have been painting. I think that if you keep working like this you will reach your goal.
The only thing that might be falling a bit behind its blending and texture work; work on that maybe. Other than that, amazing jump!

I really like that creature and those enviros are nice, I like the wetlands one! Try and work on your values, a lot of your stuff looks flat because you aren't pushing your value range enough. It's a problem we share, haha! Keep pushing!
