That last one character/monster design is lookin pretty damn cool. I'd definitely take some time to develop it further.

very very close :) the crease under the eye is a little darker, the cash shadow on the right side is a little , just a hair deeper, there are a few speculars on the underside or the eye you indicated but could punch out more, and there is a very slight value difference around the brow that you could probably get with like a multiply layer and airbrush with a RGB 200, and adjust opacity. Also I think the eye is a tad wider all around hehe, oh and the top left of the image is brighter, just a smidge
