Hi, some of the titles of your artworks are quite intense. :) What does an internet hooligan do?

Hey kerm,
Yeah, I suck at giving titles with passion. I have actually no deeper meaning for Internet Hooligan, it's just a title I acquired.
yo vasburg :D nice start to your sketchbook. i really liked "Green Noise", the colors were delicious
Hey Vasburg! Cool stuff. I liked the feel of the first painting with the gloomy bright forest with the warriors. It gave me some kind of mysterious vibe. :) Also, cool environments!
BAM! Take that board layout!

@BenFlores: ssup ben, thanks. I must admit, that I messed the rendering a bit up, but damn, do I love green+red.

@Eraiasu: Thanks mate, if you're curious about the technique you might wanna check out this work in progress post I attached. Furthermore I suggest Richard Andersons tutorials, he once did a horseman tut. where he shows some really cool solutions for rendering. It's boring as hell, but it pays off.
Hey thanks for the tip, I'll check him out! Also diggin the landscape you posted, its super rad! I have been busting my ass lately with landscapes, but boy are they hard! Any tips on what to study?

Hey, thanks mate,
As far as I can judge your paintings you're doing pretty well with colors. However, your environments often lack depth. I always grab a giant soft brush, copy the sky color for example, and paint over the objects, which are supposed to be farther away from you.

You might wanna take a look at this Feng Zhu demo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVZtq-3EhL4). He has some pretty neat techniques, which give you some easy way to create scale and depth.
Look at me, I'm so creative

I'm currently working on a larger illustration, but here's a speedpainting in the meantime:

Hey there, Vasburg !

Really digging into the speedpaint works and as for the color icons, do you apply a color layer over the values or something else ?

Other than that, i dont have anything to say than keep it up : )
Hey ShinOkami,
Thank you for your feedback, really appreciate it!
I rarely use the overlay method to add color. I go for quite a destructive way of adding color by just painting on top of my black and white images.

Nice progress on your sketchbook btw :- D
Here's a minor update:
The hammer and sword item I did won't let me sleep, so I did an alternative version:

Welcome to daggers, Mr. Vasburg. My advice to you is to do more still life paintings and master studies. Doesnt have to be old masters, infact it can be artist you think is great. Bye.
Hey crackedskull,
Thanks for your feedback. I will take your critique into consideration.

Here is a painting of an upcoming series (1/3)
