Legit had nightmares about her face, not even kidding. I was being chased by awkward-angle-face warrior chick and she had a bunch of wonky jeebus' as her cronies...Needless to say,. I woke up and changed the shit outta her face. I feel less peeved about it now.

That's a tough angle. Very ambitious. Maybe someday I can be bold like that. Seriously looking good though. It's probably just me not understanding the perspective, but the torso looks a bit elongated? Or maybe it has something to do with her feet being hidden.

Hey, Phany! That angles a bitch. Maybe this will be helpful?

Adam Lina - [/size]Aah, Adem - remembering the nickname that bugs me most since 1994 lmao
cheers! Yeah I get that I effed the low-angle shot. Poor planning on my behalf. Also the fact that it's 3-point persp. Ahahahaaaaaa -- can't wait to study my bum off after the crucible o_o
Legion Brewer - Perhaps too ambitious for my current skill level :D hmm, I personally don't see it, but I'm sure many people see it the way you do!

Flat colours, shadow indication
and still cleaning up my lines jayzus man.
Jay-zus
So much to do, so little time.

Great work! I had fun looking for beetles on your piece!
Isn't this element on the hand going to be some kind of a beetle head?
Good luck with finishing your piece!

Im proud of you Smrr, you really push yourself and take on personal challenges of stuff thats out of your comfort zone. I got a feeling if you really perservere and go nuts with rendering and bringing out forms in the light you can bring this piece to Mtg or Applibot level of quality.

Closing thoughts on the piece:
Firstly, I feel I perhaps shot myself in the foot with choosing option A over B or C. Not having watched GoT really rendered my idea and comp into the cliche realm. For some reason, I felt that A would be more of a challenge (and well, I really wanted to give myself a challenge)... but there are fights you pick and fights you're smart enough to avoid (idk why I used this example, but let's go with it)
Secondly, I started waaaaaaaay too late with my final comp to be able to bring my piece to a polished finish, it's passable, but yea nah - even though I busted my butt on the last day "rendering" - I know my limitations, so I should have taken that into account. 2 days rendering would have been ace, not 1, no, no.
Thought-vom on the piece:
Much dislike - purely because I know I could've done better if planned properly. Other factors - cliche comp, cliche fantasy, its more high fantasy thanks to the colouring and I went with and therefore I stuffed the brief. You can tell it was all rendered from imagination. I should have done a couple still life studies. But again, planning and timing.
The shadows are sooooooo overcomplicated, girl -_- like what even
I don't like the pose
I wish I could've included more of my exploration sketches.
I really should have went with another option in hindsight.
*sigh* could have made for a good portfolio piece.
Hoooooowever, I am a slight bit proud of even entering the Crucible... and seeing it through to the end (even though I'm disgusted in myself by the end of it lmao). It destroyed every bit of me - I think I lost a bit of my sanity during the final push ._.
But hey, I learned more than I could imagine and I know for sure I'm not gonna make the same mistakes twice.
Thank you once again to Piotr and Amit. c';
As well as a big thank you to all of you Dagz that took a peep at this project, commented or left me feedback (feedback was greatly appreciated, tyvm <3)
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna make some scrambled eggs for brunch with some OJ and watch the shit outta Daredevil, then perhaps play some Skyrim before tomorrows stream and back into my studies o/
