Wolk! <3 you have improved soo much in the last couple of months. Those studies you are posting to FB are killer. And your portraits are easily twice as good as they used to be just a couple of months ago. Really impressed man. Keep it up! Keep powering through those barriers!

what can i say - it is sunday and i have time to paint

"Cargo Ship D2" Was a spitpaint theme but i couldn't finish it in 30 minutes - so i worked about an hour on it.
heavily inspired by a NASA picture of Alpha Centauri.

We watched "Mr. Morgan's Last Love" tonight and i had to do a study of Michael Caine.
Wonderful Actor and a good movie.

So much great work here!

The silhouettes are really well constructed. The speedpaint of the hero slayer with rolling pin made me laugh--never mess with a woman in her kitchen! Some really lovely portraits--I especially like the hair study in profile. Your skin tones are looking really lovely. Way to do the imagination work!

Cool stuff. Your from life/reference work is really stunning. Try to work on applying your gestures/practice work to your quick paintings/imagination stuff.

For example: The silhouette practice right next to the hero slayer spitpaint. The Silhouettes are amazing and dynamic, and the spitpaint has none of that.

The Temple Guardian, Old Barbarian, and Witch hunter pictures all feel kinda flat as well. I get the feeling that you should try some life drawing, still lifes, figure drawings, whatever. Just to practice doing your own composition without having to deal with making up the subject, figures, gesture etc yourself. There's a ton of skill in your drawings, but it seems that 95% of the time, you're using someone else's composition.
