Finbarr's Sketchbook - Finbarr - 12-11-2012 Hello all! use to come here often but this year proved to be one of the hardest for me as I lost a lot of family members. as the new year soon on the way I felt the need to reinvent myself and begin the year with a new sense of motivation. Now that the intro is done lets get started. Here are some digital and traditional sketches/studies. Sketching Color Studies Metal studies. Preparing for something. Digital sketches. Hoping to finish them soon. Gathering reference. RE: Finbarr's Sketchbook - Finbarr - 12-19-2012 Getting back on tract. Been in my sketchbook mostly but haven't been able to take pics so i'll just post my digital experiments. RE: Finbarr's Sketchbook - Finbarr - 12-03-2013 Going to try this again. I stopped being active in a lot of communities because of work but needing to mingle with people with passions such as my own (hard to get that in Texas). Here is some old and new stuff. RE: Finbarr's Sketchbook - darktiste - 12-07-2013 Waw nice i can see you like 3 thing concept art, illustration and caricature but the question is do you know what you really love. RE: Finbarr's Sketchbook - Finbarr - 12-10-2013 That's something I am trying to narrow down. I love art and illustration but I am fascinated with design. I really want to dip more into concept art but don't know where to start. Caricature is something I have recently added to my skill set. Thought it would help me with designing characters. Here are some studies from this weekend. Starting to put in some value for the last caricature. Also will be working on my industrial design skills. Love this book so far!! I recommend picking it up! RE: Finbarr's Sketchbook - Finbarr - 12-11-2013 More progress from last nights livestream RE: Finbarr's Sketchbook - Mr. Toodles - 12-12-2013 om nom nom nom those portraits nom nom, to good for your first post ;) haha, I think i saw your caricature of Thompson on facebook earlier! RE: Finbarr's Sketchbook - Finbarr - 12-21-2013 Thanks Mr. Toodles!! Glad you like my stuff. I actually have a number of Scott Robertson's dvds. Fun stuff and a great way of thinking! @ darktiste - Thanks man very informative post. I'm actually going to be doing that very same thing this weekend after I finish the Caricature. Now to figure out the subject. Been going back and forward with a certain character in my head so I may do that first. Here is a sketch from yesterday I did. Needed to get rid of stress from work so decided to just sketch it up for a bit. Need to do more studies. One of the painting assignments from the schoolism class. That was fun to paint! Also Copic marker fun! RE: Finbarr's Sketchbook - Finbarr - 01-14-2014 Work has been kicking my ass but here is some recent stuff. Sketches Caricature And a project I am working on for my portfolio.
