RE: GeoStn's sketchbook - GeoStn82 - 07-05-2015

Bearlaser  thanks,I'm glad to hear that I'm motivating someone
Dennis Kutsenko  I didn't put that much thought into it at the time but the idea was that she uses the staff to attract these flying fish.Idk it's a bit silly but at the time it seemed like a good idea. But yeah,I could've executed that better.
smrr  thanks :) I have ripping off Hannes for a long time so I guess that's where the resemblance comes from.Lately however I've been trying to do things my own way.
marjoriedavis  yeah I do warm up with gestures sometimes.Thing is I'm still not comfortable with anatomy so I generally have a hard time drawing more dynamic figures.I'm working on that though. Thanks for the kind words.

Ok,so I'm finally done with my exams.I haven't drawn anything in almost 2 months so I'm a bit rusty.
I figured I'd start with some still lifes. The first one is made after a gumroad tutorial and the other 2 are from imagination.
I'll update soon.

I can see the three pictures in the main post! ^^ Very cool stuff man, digging the studies and nice potential on the WIPS, 1st and 2nd are my favorites. That colorful background with the grayish character is a nice idea. Keep it up! :)

Really neat. You've got this mature sense of space and depth. Just gotta keep building up those drawings, make 'em pop. Grin

I feel like the wip was looking a bit better as far as composition goes but oh well...I guess I have to learn from it and move on.

RE: GeoStn's sketchbook - Bookend - 09-21-2015

Your pictures really tell a story, I love the potential I'm seeing here. You're already great. You're working on fantastic. Let's see you bringing in those finished details before moving on! Try to finish your pieces at least sometimes. You may surprise yourself!

Bookend I'm actually aiming for a more painterly feel right now which is why the last image is a bit looser.
