“Carnival of Wolves” – or the way to professionalism - Korky - 02-21-2014

Hello fellow artists,

I´m looking for a wolf pack of artists who are willing to give all they have to achieve a professional level of digital art craft (painting).
The plan is to get in touch with likeminded people with a technologically advanced skillset and to tackle goals necessary for career-building.
Stages covered could be daily training; portfolio-work, creating your own website and much more - in a productive environment.

-To keep the group as productive as possible a rather small group is preferred - a real wolf pack.
-This isn´t a one man show – This group is meant to be an individual chance for progress and to apply oneself for a greater goal. Everyone is meant to participate.
Even though I would suggest daily hangouts, Skype groups and maybe an own forum/post the major decision will be made by all of the participants. You`ll have the chance to leave your mark on the group early on.
-“micasa su casa“ – I’m willing to share all of my materials I collected over the years – are you?

about me:

I finished grammar school last year and am now struggling for an art career. At the moment I could be described as a character and creature guy, but I’m giving my best to get grip on other fields too.

My time zone is GMT+1.
I´m working part time- which means that I am available Mon – Wed and sunday morning till evening. Thu – Sat depends on my working hours, which change quite often. But I would join too on these days, later on.

Those who are interested feel free to leave a post or to message me.
Please, be aware that that I’m not looking for absolute beginners, due to more advanced topics.

Please write some nice words and leave work examples.

Hey, I'm 27 working full time in gamedev. I'm in same time zone as you and would love to have small trusted group to plot world domination with. My portfolio is in my signature :) Evenings (closer to 20.00) would fits me the best.

RE: “Carnival of Wolves” – or the way to professionalism - Korky - 02-22-2014

Hi Madzia,
You are the second one working in game development out of two entrants right now. =D
I´ve taken a look on your portfolio – you have a really nice style on your hand. I´d like to have you in this team.
World domination – that’s minimal goal =P

The working time is still arguable, because I’m looking for one or two participants, who´ll have to decide with us. Right now about 20.00 seems plausible
I give this thread about one week time, looking for those who are interested.
After that period, tough decisions will be made =D.

PS.I´m 20 years old - totally forgot to mention this.

I would be very interested in joining. I don't really have any problem with time zone since I can adjust. Can you give the steps in how to join? I'm really passionate about this and from what I've seen in your work. You seem to be very passionate as well.

RE: “Carnival of Wolves” – or the way to professionalism - Korky - 02-22-2014

You have done the first step: - showing and figuring yourself.
Next step would be showing your portfolio

There ain´t more steps =´)

I don't know if I could join as well. I am 21 and I would be eager to learn as much as I can. I covered the basics for a few years, so I am not a complete beginner although I still feel like I am. Since I am unsure, please, check my work and say yes or no. I won't be feeling bad if you decide not to take me in.

Here is my work: http://mygingworks.blogspot.co.uk/ and hope to hear from you soon. I am in GMT. Thank you all!

I am interested, a group of people to do art with sounds amazing. I've basically been going lone wolf and it get's lonely sometimes.

I'm 19, just got out of high school last year and have been working on art consistently for about 7 months. I wouldn't say i'm "technologically advanced" , but i'm not a complete beginner either.

Here is some work from the past few months. You can also check out my Crimson Daggers sketchbook if you want.

The time zones might be weird because I think you're 6 hours ahead of me. I am working on art most of the day though- so there are only a few times that will be unavailable to me. I'm sure it could get figured out.

Hey, I would really like to join in on a contact group like this, i think i could really benefit from it, but to warn you about picking me, i have a lot of things going on which takes my time and focus away, but in a little less than 2 weeks, I will be able to join a hangout almost everyday. Anyway my timezone is GMT +1, and heres a link to my sketchbook and my blog:

Hey guys! I would LOVE to be part of the wolf pack! :D

I'm a 24 year old freelance illustrator (well, struggling to make money out of it for now) but I'm passionate, I've already had an art buddy for a year and it was great! I'd like to get intense and more focused with other artists again. :)

I live in Central Europe so GMT+1 is fine with me as well. I'd be more likely available from Monday thru Friday from morning till approx. 7 or 8pm. I'm usually away on weekends, sometimes around on Saturdays.

I'm also about to start Noah Bradley's Art Camp 2 (in 2 weeks), I work part time on events as a hostess but nothing that takes more than 2 afternoons/evenings a week. Sp I'm pretty flexible and available!

Really hope I can join in! This sounds great! :)

I'd be interested. Just came back from my summer job and could use a new study group to hook into since it appears the Daily Study Group I was a part of sort of disbanded while I was gone. (if you guys are willing to with me) ;)
