Drawing straight lines is harder than it seems but you can do it very well. :D Here is my Wednesday stuff. I went to the Uni and drew a bunch of interesting stuff. RE: Study Cave - Myging - 02-28-2014 New works - sorry about the quality ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Study Cave - cynnex - 02-28-2014 good stuff. that easel, number 3 and 2's excellent! keep it up! here's the stuff from yesterday that i didn't get a chance to post ![]() ![]() RE: Study Cave - cynnex - 03-01-2014 some architectural studies ![]() ![]() RE: Study Cave - Myging - 03-01-2014 Good studies! Try to pay attention to the proportions, especially the dices (I don't know if they have plural - sorry for my English) and the wooden cubes, they don't look the same size. I am doing the same mistakes and to make them look the same size and to put them in perspective is difficult, but I am sure you can manage it. It would be also a good idea to draw your surroundings from life. The architectural studies are better, I especially like the second one and the sixth! RE: Study Cave - Myging - 03-01-2014 Today I didn't draw from life. Here are the photos that I drew studies from (buildings aren't easy): http://bedroomkitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/architecture-design-102.jpg http://www.crystalinks.com/india_architecture.jpg http://www.fubiz.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Tree-House-Architecture41-640x390.jpg http://www.edinburghseasons.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/3301026897_5d3f89cee4.jpg http://jameschristiephotography.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Edinburgh-06.jpg RE: Study Cave - Adam Lina - 03-01-2014 You guys should get the How to Draw book by Scott Robertson. Its about the exact stuff you're working on now. Its like the holy bible of perspective drawing. I was trying to start a group thread for it but it hasnt panned out :( Its a must have book! RE: Study Cave - cynnex - 03-02-2014 Good attempt Myging. Love that London street and the temple. Try to break it down into larger forms. Look for cubes, spheres, etc. Haze, that book looks amazing! Definitely gonna have to work that in at some point! Thanks for the heads up! here's a quickie ![]() RE: Study Cave - Myging - 03-04-2014 So these are the weekend stuff. This week's assignments are decided soon. RE: Study Cave - Myging - 03-08-2014 After a bad cold I am finally back.
