Rough Critique - Matthew McEntire - 06-06-2015 Hey guys. I'm starting up a new painting and have it all roughed out, just trying to establish the overall gesture, scene and lighting. Since it's a rough I'm sure it will be a little difficult to make out, but the idea is to have a Warhammer 40,000 space marine and imperial guardsman pushing through gunfire behind a tower shield, right now they are exchanging glances however that might change as I feel like the guardsman's gesture could be much better. I originally had the idea of him shooting around the shield but maybe fully bracing against the shield could be better. Anyway, this is mainly to check what you guys think of the composition and lighting. Of course all suggestions are welcome.
