Hey there - Zvarthav - 07-14-2024

Hi, I've drawn all my life but never seriously studied art or gone to art school, I've just winged it. So I joined this forum with the intention of starting a sketchbook, as I hope it will motivate me to get better. Part of my goal here, if I can manage it, is to study various art books or video courses and do their assignments.

I hope it's okay to start a sketchbook even if you're inexperienced and are going to do newbie assignments.

If anyone is curious about my art, here is my cara https://cara.app/zvarthav/all and this is an example of it:

This drawing is fanart though, so I didn't create the characters, I just reinterpreted them in another style.

Haha, yeah I know. The comic is Fourteen by Kazuo Umezu, and if I remember right (been a long time since I read it) humans did evolve from dinosaurs in it. It's a very silly horror story.

Nice to meet you.

Well, I like Jurassic Park and The Land Before Time, otherwise I'm not that into dinosaurs. Though I was very into them as a kid, and I like making up fantasy monsters, so it might benefit me to study paleontology art. Excuse me if I take what may be a joke too seriously here.
