Crimson Challenge: Significant Dream

Thought it might be a fitting theme to get a bit more loose and experiment. Explore shapes and ideas.
Draw, paint, or sculpt some person in your life, a place, an animal, ¿whoknowswhat? Some force that guides you, something that almost falls under your grasp, but not quite.
Someone or something that is significant to your life at the moment.

General Rules and Guidelines:
  • You can get as loose or as defined as you like. As long as it represent's what you had in mind.
  • WIP is recommended but not required. You can post work-in-progress or finished image in this thread.
  • Studies are recommended, but not required.
  • You can share the significance or keep it to yourself and be the mysterious cool kid.
  • Goes without saying, but no ai slop.
  • Have fun.
If you have no ideas,  just sleep on it. ;)
I'm not very good at coming up with these, but thought I might give it a go.

This is actually a pretty cool topic and art challenge approach. Are you currently working something up Jaye23? Let it be known this forum is pretty much dead sadly so any activity is a lot of activity in the times.

Welcome back Lege, and thanks for the quick briefing with the new "chow" Jaye!
I was send to corporate hell this week and got buried in work, 
it feels like I angered the art gods or smth.

Anyway, Im gonna post some first sketches tomorrow and finish
this challenge.

I have some rough sketches, but nothing concrete yet ')

A bit late, so heres first idea, I got my hands on some old books about antique armory and weapons.
In it were some cool shapes that inspired me to develope some type of knight within a gladiator setting.
Historical speaking it couldnt be more wrong but somehow I liked the mix visually speaking.

Sketch is super rough and full with mistakes, for now I wanted to get the rough idea done.
Gonna fix the pose and unclear design next step. This time for sure a update will come tomorrow.

TrashPanda Super cool and coming along great man! I like the loose gestural sketch, perhaps consider doing a bunch of these and place them on a sheet with numbers to see what other cool versions you can produce. Just an idea though, if you know exactly your direction and what you'd like to do then definitely go for that.

I agree rolling out more of these loose sketches would definetly help in the future.
Heres a current wip, still have a hard time making the current pose work,- make the pose
readable in 3d space specially the leg overlap is weird.

Gonna post the finished sketch later and call it a day with this smoll challenge.

TrashPanda it's coming along great! You've got some excellent flow there.
Something life-related came up, guys, so I'll be a bit busy for a couple of days. I'm hating myself for doing this already, but I'm gonna stretch the deadline till the end of the week just so I can participate in it myself. :D

 I think you should really consider bringing her left shoulder down a little bit.

Thanks Jaye I agree it definetly looks much better, thanks for the your time for the paintover!

My initial idea was to make the shoulder pad on this side extra large, since it’s the arm that is most exposed, 
as the long “fork” is intended to parry charged attacks. However I could not translate it well on top of the 
actual anatomy.

All good I dont mind pushing the deadline further behind, it was a testrun regardless.
Looking forward for your submission.
