Braunzo's Gonzo Sketchbook - Braunzo - 09-05-2026 Demonstrating my imagination and ADD all at once! I use to edit out embarrassing stuff (there is plenty). But now I am old and too lazy to worry about it - so it's warts and all! :) Thank you for allowing me into your community. RE: Braunzo's Gonzo Sketchbook - Braunzo - 09-05-2026 The Fly or human insect hybrids is a subject I get fixated on. RE: Braunzo's Gonzo Sketchbook - Braunzo - 09-22-2026 robots etc RE: Braunzo's Gonzo Sketchbook - Braunzo - 09-22-2026 more this and that RE: Braunzo's Gonzo Sketchbook - Braunzo - 09-22-2026 last for now RE: Braunzo's Gonzo Sketchbook - Braunzo - 09-22-2026 moar stuff RE: Braunzo's Gonzo Sketchbook - Braunzo - 09-22-2026 more insect men RE: Braunzo's Gonzo Sketchbook - Braunzo - 09-22-2026 trying to size these better RE: Braunzo's Gonzo Sketchbook - Braunzo - 09-22-2026 You can probably tell I riff on the same sketch or idea a lot including using trace to try different details and colors etc. As I noted, I love sketching insect men - always trying to work out a unique body type. This led drawing a ton of assess apparently. RE: Braunzo's Gonzo Sketchbook - RottenPocket - 10-13-2026 These are fun I really like these guys! I’m not seeing a lot of segmented limbs, which I’d normally associate with an invertebrate, but that could be intentional if you’re going for more of a mammalian hybrid. I’ve always been interested in alcohol ink markers. I love their versatility for blending and layering, and seeing how people combine them with other materials. I’d love to see the linework tightened up a bit so the details don’t get lost or overshadowed by the busy colouring. At the moment, the linework and colour feel like they’re competing with each other, and in areas where there isn’t much detail, the colour doesn’t seem to add a whole lot. I think using the ink in broader, more deliberate strokes, then bringing in pencil to embellish the details and white to pick out highlights, could make a big difference. You could really push the contrast and give the forms more definition while still keeping that vibrant, shlocky monster-art vibe. I think that balance could work really well with these guys. https://www.tiktok.com/@steven_de_groot/video/7695019578111446304 https://megapencil.co/alpha-brush-marker-review-unboxing-coloring-and-final-impressions/ |
