Check out "FlippedNormals" on youtube for 3D stuff I think it's one of the better 3D channels, they don't do stuff in 3Dcoat but all the information they give transfers over all software pretty well. Also 3DCoat for mech design is a little weird for me I've always see it as a retopology and UV program, if you've never done 3D stuff before I'd recommend you play around in Blender 2.8 for a bit before spending money on tutorials and software.
